We love design. We really love design.
We believe in the impact that good design can have for companies and for people in general. In fact, we're the kind of people that like to see more of our clients and we're proud that many have been with us for years and years and over many projects. Some projects we do are serious, some not so. Some are very corporate, some are for children; but whatever we do we give our hearts as well as over fifteen years of experience to do the best we can. We can, and have, done it all, from corporate communications to books for children and from exhibition stands to database-driven websites and to brilliantly innovate print work.
We believe in what we do. We win awards for what we do. We've even been known to teach the next generation of graduate designers how to do well. So please take a look around, and if you like what we do, get in touch.
Close-Knit - introducing a brand new range
Cosy and contemporary
It's new and it's as snug as a big snuggly thing from your Gran. If your Gran is the coolest thing around of course. We've taken our cue from the wonderful world of knitting and crochet of yesteryear and have bundled up all that care, craft and heart appeal with a little contemporary open|box|design styling to produce a range that is both on trend and traditional.
Harrogate Home and Gift 2010
A huge success
Even the weather couldn't stop it from working for us!
Harrogate was wonderful: we continue our upwards trajectory and we took more orders than we have before at any show, not to mention the follow-ups which have kept us busy all week.
So thank you all from the bottom of our crocheted hearts. The openboxdesign elves have been locked in a darkened room until all the orders are away and we're now off for a stiff G&T.
Sadly, the weather really was terrible so there was no Pimms on the lawn but we'll be back in!
Random Chat gets Bigger
New Characters... New Danger
Along with our 3D flagship range 'Brilliant Birthdays', 'Random Chat' has been the most popular of our cards this year. They're cheeky, a bit naughty, very telling but never nasty... in fact just the way we are really. And to mark our first birthday... yep, in terms of Greeting Cards we are a glorious ONE YEAR OLD, we have doubled the range to an eye-watering 36 cards!

The icing on the cake
It was already a great start to the year for us and it's kept on getting better as we’ve now been recognised by industry leaders in the retail sector and fellow card publishers for the quality of our work.
We exhibited at Spring Fair International in February, specifically within the ‘Fresh’ area - a brand new section of the greetings hall specially reserved for design-led companies - and we were awarded the very first ‘Best of Fresh’ Award.
This award was given to the company that, in the judges’ opinion, had the best and most innovative products of the entire Fresh section. We are delighted that our greetings cards have been endorsed so positively by colleagues - and it makes us want to do more!
The award has already raised the profile of our small but energetic company and following our time at Spring Fair we have been mentioned in Progressive Greetings, Greetings Today and Gift Focus Magazine.

The retail section of our site is now complete with a brochure, product sheets and our order form all available to download and print from in high resolution pdf format.
Because we add to our product range several times during the year, we have decided not to have a printed brochure. Instead we have an on-screen version which is of high enough resolution for you to view the quality of our cards in detail. For those of you wishing to view single ranges of cards we have product sheets available for each of our ranges too! And of course we have our order form and terms and conditions here as well.
To view these documents you MUST be a retailer and registered in the retail section of our site. Registering couldn't be easier. It takes seconds - all you have to do is click on the 'register here' box at the right hand side of the retail section, fill out a very short form and click on the link in the email that will automatically be sent to you. Simples!

We received so many enquiries from PG Live and the biggest request by far was that people simply wanted to know what we were up to. Our first e-bulletin has already flown the open|box|design nest, but sign up now and keep up to date with what we're up to and to give you access to discounts and special promotions that we'll be running throughout the year. Our e-bulletin service is completely free and you can opt out any time you wish. We do not spam, we do not give your information to anyone else. open|box|design is proud to be a member of ACID (Anti Copying in Design) and in being so we're making a moral, commercial and political stand against copying.
We're proud of the work we produce and the ACID mark acts as a warning beacon to anyone wishing to copy our work that we will vigorously defend our position as the originators of what we create. Being a member also indicates that we have agreed to ACID's code of conduct which means that you can be assured that the work we produce has not been taken or copied from another designer or company.
